GE IS420ESWBH3AX Mark VIe Industrial Ethernet Switch /IONet.The GE IS420ESWBH3A is an industrial Ethernet switch, part of the Mark VIe safety control system designed by General Electric (GE). This switch operates at 24/28 VDC and does not have any fiber optic ports, but it has 16 copper ports.
The copper ports are 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports. The primary function of this switch is to act as a level 1 Ethernet switch, with its core function being to buffer multicast and broadcast data packets. There should be enough space to allow each port to buffer a packet. If multiple incoming streams are sent to the switch, it can only accept one incoming stream and buffer the rest for later transmission.
The IS420ESWBH3A switch has LED indicator lights. There is a power indicator light, and the rest are activity and link function indicator lights. When the link indicator light is stable yellow, it indicates that a 10 MB link is being used. When it is stable green, it indicates that a 100 MB link is being used. If no indicator light is lit, it means there is no link. The active LED is green or yellow, but it flashes. When the LED flashes green, it indicates that the activity is in full duplex mode. When it flashes yellow, it indicates that the activity is in half duplex mode.
