The GE/VMIC VMEbus VMIVME-7750 is a processor-based VME (VMEbus) single board computer designed for high-performance applications requiring real-time control and monitoring. It is built around the Intel® Pentium® III Processor, offering up to 1.26 GHz processing power with 512 Kbyte advanced transfer cache. The system supports up to 512 Mbyte PC133 SDRAM using a single SODIMM and features an internal AGP SVGA controller with 4 Mbyte display cache. It operates on a 133 MHz system bus via Intel® 815E chipset controllers, supporting 10BaseT and 100BaseTX Ethernet interfaces and dual Ethernet interfaces for networking.
The VMIVME-7750 supports a range of operating systems, including Windows® XP, VxWorks®, Solaris™, QNX®, LynxOS®, and Linux®, providing flexibility for various applications such as real-time factory automation, simulation, instrumentation, control, and process control systems. It also includes comprehensive diagnostics, optional disabling of local boots, and a dual-boot option for selecting network or local booting.

The VMIVME-7750 offers several advanced features:
- Two 16550-compatible serial ports with a 16-bit FIFO to support baud rates up to 115 Kbaud.
- A built-in keyboard and mouse port.
- Up to 1 Gbyte of IDE CompactFlash memory accessible through the secondary ID port.

- The ability to operate as a slot 1 controller or be disabled when another board is acting as the system controller.
- VMEbus requester capabilities allowing the microprocessor to request and gain control of the bus under software control.
- Four 32-bit mailboxes for interprocessor communication.
