NI SCXI-1193 National Instruments Multiplexer Switch Module.The NI SCXI-1193 is a high-density, 32-Channel RF Multiplexer Switch Module designed by National Instruments. It is capable of supporting signal frequencies ranging from DC to over 500 MHz, making it suitable for integration with high-frequency devices such as the PXI-5404 Frequency Generator and the PXI-5112 High-Speed Digitizer. The module can be configured in various topologies, including unterminated multiplexers, externally terminated multiplexers, and dimensionally versatile sparse matrices. This flexibility allows for a wide range of applications, from basic signal routing to complex signal processing setups.
The SCXI-1193 utilizes high-density push-on MCX connectors for cabling, ensuring a manageable and discrete setup. It features 36 MCX jacks for I/O connectors and 2 SMB jacks for trigger connectors. The module supports several cable types, including MCX-MCX, MCX-BNC, MCX-SMB, and MCX-SMA, available in both 0.3 m and 1.0 m lengths. Additionally, a 50 Ohm MCX Terminator is available, enabling the module to be used as a terminated multiplexer when connected to half of the 32 channels.
Power requirements for the SCXI-1193 include +5 VDC at 50 mA, +18.5 VDC to +25 VDC at 170 mA, and -18.5 VDC to -25 VDC at 170 mA. The device operates with an electromechanical, latching relay type and has a maximum scan rate of 100 operations per second. Physically, the SCXI-1193 measures 1.2 x 6.8 x 7.8 in., weighs 2 oz, and comes with a three-year warranty. It is designed to operate within a temperature range of 0 °C to 50 °C, with a storage temperature range of -20 °C to 70 °C, and a noncondensing humidity range of 5% to 85%.
