This capability is crucial for assessing the difference in growth rates between the turbine rotor and the machine stator (casing), which can impact the generator's performance and lifespan.

  • Linear Range: With a maximum linear range of 27.9 mm (1100 mils), the 3300 XL 50mm system offers the longest linear range among eddy current transducer lines. This extensive range makes it ideal for applications requiring precise measurements of differential expansion.

  • High-Temperature Operation: The probe is designed to operate continuously in high temperatures up to 200 °C (392 °F) and can withstand intermittent high temperatures up to 250 °C (482 °F). This durability ensures its effectiveness in harsh environments typical of steam turbine operations.

  • System Compatibility: The 3300 XL 50mm probe is compatible with all standard 7200 50mm systems, including side and rear exit probes. This compatibility extends to the Proximitor Sensor, which maintains a 0.394 V/mm (10 mV/mil) output identical to the 7200 and 50mm DE Integral systems, allowing for seamless upgrades without requiring changes in monitor configuration.

  • Design and Durability: The 3300 XL 50mm probe features both front and rear seals, along with a High Temperature FluidLoc cable (standard on all 50mm probes), to prevent moisture ingress. Special high-temperature ClickLoc connectors are also standard, ensuring robust and reliable connections.

  • Mounting Options: Available in straight exit case styles with ½-20 English threads or M14x1.5 metric threads, the probe can be adapted to various mounting configurations, including a new bracket for the 50mm DE Integral transducer sliding mount base. An optional Sliding Bracket is available for verifying the transducer system and gapping the probes by sliding the transducer system through its linear range.
