The MMS3120/022-000 is a dual-channel bearing vibration monitor designed to measure and monitor the absolute vibration signals of various machines such as small steam, gas, and hydro turbines, compressors, pumps, fans, and gearboxes. It is a module of the MMS6000 mechanical monitoring system [1]. The monitor is designed to work with two independent electric velocity sensors, which can be replaced with piezoelectric sensors [1]. The monitor can convert the inputs from the two sensors to two independent outputs that are proportional to the vibration speed or displacement peak value, or to a single output that is proportional to the maximum value of the two input signals
The MMS3120/022-000 is field-configurable via software, which allows for the adjustment of measurement settings and alarms, as well as the configuration of provided outputs [0]. The monitor has a built-in self-checking circuit that monitors the sensors and the transmitter circuit for faults. If a fault is detected, the logic "OK" output will change state, and the current output will change from 4-20mA to 0mA
