In general, DeltaV SIS™ will be connected to 4-20 mA analog signal devices or discrete I/O devices rated up to 500 mA per channel. However, there will be some output signals that require higher currents, and in some applications a non-combustion output is required. For applications that require only high currents, DeltaV solutions offer SIS relay modules. For applications that need to limit the current of a final device with a non-combustion rating, there are current limiter modules. Use the RC compensator module to ensure proper field wiring monitoring when using inductive loads.
